Who we are

Tovar Garage Doors & Openers LLC ("Tovar Garage Doors", "we", "us") is a family owned garage door and gate company based in Alvarado, Texas, serving the Dallas and Fort Worth Metroplex. This policy covers www.tovargaragedoors.com and the information we receive through it.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the free estimate form, we receive:

• Your name and phone number. Both are required, because we cannot quote a garage door without being able to call you back.
• Your email address, which is optional and used only to send your estimate in writing.
• The service you selected and any details you type into the message box, such as door size, brand, or what is going wrong.
• Which page you submitted from and whether you came through a promotional offer, so we know what you were reading when you asked.

If you call or text us instead, we have your phone number and whatever you tell us on the call. That is normal business record keeping, not website data.

Information collected automatically

Our web server keeps standard access logs, the same way essentially every web server does. Each request records the IP address, the browser and device type reported by your browser, the page requested, and the time. We also store the IP address and browser string alongside a form submission, purely so we can identify and block spam and abuse.

That is the entire list. There is no analytics service, no advertising network, no session recording, and no third party script of any kind running on this site.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies. It does not use local storage to track you, does not load Google Analytics or any comparable tool, does not carry a Meta pixel or any other advertising tag, and does not embed third party maps, videos or fonts that would let another company observe your visit. Fonts and images are served from our own server.

Because of that, there is no cookie banner to click and no tracking to opt out of. If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy and say so plainly before we do.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. Since we do not track visitors across sites in the first place, there is nothing for those signals to switch off here.

How we use your information

We use what you give us to:

• Contact you about the estimate or service you asked for, by phone, text or email.
• Prepare and send a written estimate, schedule the visit, and complete the work.
• Keep records of work performed, parts installed and payments, which we need for warranty, tax and insurance purposes.
• Follow up about work we have done for you, and answer questions afterwards.
• Protect the site from spam and abuse.

We do not send marketing newsletters, and we do not add you to any mailing list from a form submission. When you contact us, you should expect a reply about your job, not a campaign.

Calls and text messages

By giving us your phone number through the form, on a call, or in person, you agree that we may contact you at that number about your request and the work connected to it. That includes calls and text messages, and those messages may be sent using automated systems. Message and data rates may apply through your carrier.

Agreeing to this is not a condition of buying anything from us. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by telling the person you are speaking with, replying STOP to a text, or emailing ptovar35@yahoo.com. We will still need to reach you about work already scheduled or in progress.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal information for anyone else's marketing. We have never done this and have no plans to.

A small number of service providers necessarily handle your information in order for the site and our business to function:

• Our hosting provider, which runs the server this website and its database sit on.
• Our email provider, which delivers the notification email when you submit the form, and carries any email correspondence between us.
• Payment and accounting providers, if you become a customer and pay for work.

These providers may only use the information to provide their service to us. Beyond that, we disclose information only when the law requires it, in response to a valid legal request, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim or protect someone's safety.

How long we keep it

Estimate requests are kept while we are working with you and afterwards as part of our customer records, so that we can honour warranties, answer questions about past work, and meet tax and insurance obligations. Records tied to completed work are generally kept for at least four years, which is the window Texas law allows for most contract claims.

Server access logs are short lived and rotate automatically. Requests that never turn into a job are removed when they are no longer useful, and you can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Your choices and your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your information, subject to records we are required to keep.
• Stop contacting you.

Call (817) 658-1017 or email ptovar35@yahoo.com and tell us what you want. We will verify that the request really comes from you, then respond within a reasonable time and normally within 45 days. There is no charge for this.

Texas residents may have additional rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the right to appeal if we refuse a request. To appeal, reply to our response or write to us at the address above, and we will review it and explain our decision in writing. We honour these requests regardless of whether the law strictly requires us to.

How we protect it

The whole site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Submissions are stored on a server that our own staff reach only over an authenticated connection, and access to the stored data is restricted to the application itself.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. We do not ask for and you should never send us payment card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers or similar sensitive information through the website form.

Children's privacy

This site is meant for adults arranging work on a home or business. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

We link out to a few places, such as our Google Business Profile and our Facebook, Instagram and X pages. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's website, governed by their privacy policy, not ours. We have no control over what they collect.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes, such as introducing analytics or advertising tools, will be described here rather than made quietly.
